City Vehicle and Pet License sales start on Monday, May 1, 2017. Residents interested in renewing online can visit desplaines.org/vehiclepetlicenses to get started! All you need is the vehicle or pet ID number located on your renewal notice received in the mail, and a major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover). Residents can also submit vehicle and/or pet renewal forms by USPS Mail or In Person.
PLEASE NOTE: First-time vehicle and pet license applicants must apply in person at City Hall and provide "move in" or vehicle purchase paperwork to avoid penalties.
If City Hall is closed, renewals can also be obtained at participating currency exchanges or at the Des Plaines Police Department, 1418 Miner Street (pre-printed forms with payment by check only).
