Des Plaines Police Announce Distracted Driving Awareness Week, April 24-April 28

Americans average 1 hour and 15 minutes of driving per day, many using  that time to multi-task on their mobile devices. However, driver distractions play a big part in over 1 million crashes a year in the US, causing serious injury and an unsurmountable economic impact on everyone involved. The Des Plaines Police Department is proud to join the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police and AAA to sponsor the State's first Distracted Driver Awareness Week from April 24th to April 28th. So please make the effort to "Put safety first and Just Drive."
