Cambridge Road (Northwest Highway to Wisconsin)
Work on Cambridge has started again. Nicor Gas has completed the necessary gas service relocations, and the contractor has removed the dirt at the old gas service areas and replaced it with stone. Next week, the contractor will remove the east side of sidewalk and excavate for new driveway aprons. The concrete subcontractor is scheduled to begin pouring the new sidewalk on Wednesday, September 28. The curb and driveway aprons will then be poured on Thursday and Friday. All concrete work is weather permitting. One side of Cambridge is being completed at a time to prevent all residents from losing driveway access at the same time. The concrete on the west side of Cambridge will be removed and replaced over the first two weeks of October. The first layer of asphalt pavement should be paved by the middle of October.
Clark Lane (Algonquin to Kinkaid)
The contractor is scheduled to remove 2" of the existing pavement on Monday, September 26. Weather permitting, Public Works plans to complete the resurfacing next week.
