Ten Full Fridays of Fun in Metropolitan Square!

Beginning June 23rd, Friday evenings in Des Plaines will feature a special line-up of performances  - entertainment that can be seen and heard from the outdoor seating areas of Tap House Grill, Pot Belly’s, Giordano’s, Forever Yogurt and Panera Bread.  The Friday night events will take place from 6:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. for 10 weeks, unless inclement weather deems otherwise.

Our 2017 Talent Lineup:

June 23th - 2016 Battle of the Bands as presented by the Des Plaines Library, features local teen bands competing in their annual competition. The winning band will advance the Illinois Battle of the Bands regional competition.

June 30th - The Liz Mandeville Trio – Chicago Blues Hall of Fame Member and award winning blues songwriter and performer.

July 7th - Character Fleadh – One of the Chicagoland's finest Irish and Scottish musical groups.

July 14th - Midwest Dueling PianosDueling pianos offering a unique style of interactive entertainment for all ages..

July 21st - Chez Butter – Motown, R & B, Soul, Lots of Fun! Hits by artists like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Gnarls Barkley, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, and many more!

July 28th - Cowboy Jukebox – Top 40 Country music at its very best.

August 4th - Vocal Chaos - This  a cappella vocal group competes annually in Harmony Sweepstakes and played the a cappella group in the Vince Vaughn & Jennifer Aniston movie "The Break Up".

August 11th - The Millenials offer a fresh style to Rock-N-Roll classics and singer, songwriter Nate Mitchell is a "must see" for our unique "Back to School Night" event.

August 18th - Paris Swing is lively, elegant, and fun. Their original arrangements capture that wonderful time when dancing, listening, and jazz were one.

August 25th - Rosie and the Rivets, the ​​best music of the 1950's and 1960's. You'll hear your favorite rock & roll, girl group, rockabilly, british invasion, surf, and soul authentically and expertly performed by professional entertainers with impressive showmanship.
