Taste of Des Plaines 2010
Taste of Des Plaines 2010 was an event to remember as thousands
visited the City’s downtown over a three day period, June 4, 5 and
6, 2010, to indulge in a delightful array of food, free musical
entertainment, the Des Plaines Park District’s Chase to the Taste, a
“Green” Expo, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Consumer Expo, a
car and art show, kid’s crafts, and good old fashioned family fun.
The event was organized by the Des Plaines Special Events
Commission, under the direction of Chairman Linda Forman, and was
sponsored by the following “Gold Plate” contributors: the Hilton
Garden Inn, City Beverage, 104.3 Jack FM, Bud Light, the Journal &
Topics Newspapers, 97.1 FM Drive Radio, and Clearwire. This
year’s participating Taste of Des Plaines restaurants included Thai
Square, Tasty Vending, Café Zalute, Giuseppe’s LaCantina, Taco
Village, Victor’s Grill, Strawberry Patch, Allegretti’s Pizzeria,
Dick’s River Road House, Evan’s Place, Windsor Ice Cream, Lisa’s
Italian Ice, Tiki Terrace, Olivetti’s, Allegretti’s Bakery, Elliot’s
Off Broadway, Elliot’s Deli, Angin Mamiri, Kettle Kabin and the Des
Plaines Police Department.
