  1. Des Plaines Police Department - Cops for Coats Drive

    October 10, 9:00 AM - November 12 @ The Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Niles Police Departments , along with Maine Township.

    The Park Ridge, Niles and Des Plaines Police Departments, along with Maine Township, have partnered together again for a coat drive to assist the families of Maine Township. With the holidays approaching, many of us are thinking about ways to help others and give back to the community. The Des Plaines, Park Ridge, and Niles Police Departments are doing their part by collecting coats for the needy in their communities. The coats collected will be distributed to Maine Township residents on: Saturday, November 15, 2014 9:00 am– 1:00 pm Maine Township Hall 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge, Illinois If you have CLEAN, gently worn coats that your family is no longer using and would like to help someone in need from our community, please take them to any of the listed police departments between October 6th through November 12th. A drop box for the coats will be located in the lobby of each department. The departments are open 24 hours a day. For additional information, contact Park Ridge, Niles

  2. Des Plaines Fire Department - Free CPR Classes

    October 29, 6:30 PM - November 1, 12:00 PM @ TBD

    The Des Plaines Fire Department is offering FREE CPR Classes on Oct. 29 from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM and Nov. 1st from 9:00 AM to Noon. Registration is required. For additional information, call 847-391-5342.

  3. Spotlight Youth Theater - The Sound of Music

    October 31, 7:00 PM - November 9, 6:00 PM @ Prairie Lakes Theater

    The Hills are Alive with The Sound of Music! Students ages 8-18 of Spotlight Youth Theater present, The Sound of Music, one of the most beloved Rogers and Hammerstein musicals of all time. Maria Rainer, a free-spirited nun is sent to be a governess to seven children of Captain Von Trapp. Maria's love of music and of life, soon endears her to the children and even the strict of Captain begins to deeply admire her.
