    Guitarist Lee Murdock to present the Coffee Talk, “‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and the Struggle that Forged Two Nations,” Thursday, July 9, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Des Plaines History Center, 781 Pearson Street.     The City of Des Plaines Farmers' Market will be rolling out a summertime of fresh foods starting Friday, June 19th. Scheduled as a weekly event through October 16th, the market will be bustling with activity every Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Located on Ellinwood Street, between Pearson and Lee Streets, the market is easily accessible by car, bike, foot, or train. Vendors such as Patz Maple & Honey Farms, Hardin Farms, Arnold's Meat Farm, and Pappardelle’s Pasta are just a few of the great participants offering an array of fresh foods for purchase.
