Automotive Parts and Fluids Disposal

Residents can dispose automotive fluids and parts properly at the following locations.

Des Plaines residents only may bring automobile batteries and tires (no rims) to the Public Works Department, 1111 Joseph Schwab Road, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Limit 2 items

Note:  Most Oil Express’ accept used oil.  Most Sears Auto, Trak Auto, Wal-Mart, and Targets will accept car, motorcycle, boat and tractor lead-acid batteries.  Please check phone book for locations.
