The Fire Department is looking for new families for local fire
hydrants within Des Plaines. All you need to care for the fire
hydrants is clear them of snow and grass when they are in need of
cleaning so that fire fighters are able to see them. In return for
taking care of the fire hydrants you receive adoption papers, a map
to location of your fire hydrant, and the satisfaction that you are
helping the community of Des Plaines and its Fire Department. Fire
hydrants are chosen based on proximity to your house or apartment.
