Emergency Services Division

The Emergency Services Division, in addition to fire-fighting, also provides basic and advanced life support with state certified paramedics, hazardous materials response, water rescue and recovery vehicle accident rescue and extrication, above and below grade rescue and other emergency services.  The Division is staffed by a total of eighty-four personnel consisting of officers, engineers, paramedics and firefighters.  In-service apparatus consists of three engine companies, two truck companies and three mobile intensive care units (ambulances).  Each company, when not responding to emergencies, participates in extensive daily training and making fire hazard inspections of businesses in their districts.
