Job Responsibilities
The Fire Chief shall supervise and coordinate the activities
of the department to support the effective, efficient, and
professional delivery of fire and emergency medical services to
the community. He shall develop a strategic plan and set goals
for the operational needs of the department with respect to
apparatus, equipment, staffing, and structures. The Fire Chief
shall execute and enforce all orders of the Mayor, the City
Council, Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, and City
Manager.
