The City of Des Plaines Finance Department is located on the
first floor of the Civic Center, 1420 Miner Street. The
Finance Department offices are open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
Monday through Friday.
The Finance Department is the City’s central accounting unit and
is responsible for the collection and disbursement of all City
funds. The Finance Department also administers the City’s liability
insurance program, the financial provisions of contracts, leases and
agreements, and bond and debt management. The Finance Department
also issues business licenses, vehicles stickers and real estate
transfer stamps.
