Oakton/Elmhurst Subarea Plan

The Oakton Elmhurst Subarea Plan was presented at the July 20th City Council meeting.  The plan was completed by Camiros, Ltd. and the City’s Department of Community and Economic Development.  The PowerPoint presentation on the completed plan can be accessed below.    This plan will serve as a template for future development, design, & improvements along these two commercial corridors.

On December 11, 2008 the City held its second public meeting on redevelopment options for the Oakton/Elmhurst subarea. This planning workshop focused on gaining input from residents, business owners, and property owners on design elements for the subarea’s possible redevelopment. The City’s consultants reviewed possible design elements for the area and asked those in attendance to comment on them.
