City Attorney
The Office of the City Attorney is the
legal advisor to the City and advises the Mayor, City Council, and
City Staff on all legal matters in which the interests of the City
are involved. The City Attorney’s Office prepares all City
Ordinances and Resolutions that come before the City Council for
consideration. We also draft and/or review many contracts,
agreements, leases, and other documents pertaining to City matters,
and represent the City before various administrative agencies and
courts. The City Attorney David Wiltse, Assistant City Attorney
Raymond Bartel, and Legal Secretary Mary Utt may be reached by
calling 847-391-5303.
The City Attorney’s Office is not able to represent
individuals in any legal matters which includes giving legal advice
to citizens. However, our office is always available to assist
residents/citizens in contacting the proper department or agency
regarding any issues residents/citizens may have.
