CITY OF DES PLAINES TIF #4/FIVE CORNERS PUBLIC MEETING

The City and its consultant team will hold a public meeting on redevelopment options for the Golf Road portion of the Five Corners TIF District. This planning workshop will focus on commercial options, and will not involve any residential areas of the TIF District.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the second floor banquet room at Des Plaines Golf Center, 353 N. Des Plaines River Road. Read more about TIF 4 by clicking here.

Neighborhood Watch Meetings

The Des Plaines Police Department will be hosting three Neighborhood Watch Beat Meetings. The meetings are as follows:

• Tuesday, May 27, 7:00 pm Rosemary S. Argus Friendship Park Conservatory, 395 W. Algonquin Rd., between Mt. Prospect Rd. & Elmhurst Rd.
• Wednesday, May 28, 7:00 pm Room 101, Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner St.
• Thursday, May 29, 7:00 pm Room 15, St. Stephen’s Church, 1267 Everett St.

Topics will include traffic concerns, underage drinking parties, park patrols, and further development of the current Neighborhood Watch Program. The guest speaker will be Des Plaines Police Commander Tim Veit of the Traffic Unit/Special Events. All interested Des Plaines residents are invited to attend the meeting closest to their residence.
