2008 Press Release: Groundbreaking Ceremony Held at Construction
Site for Two Hotels
For immediate release
April 8, 2008
A groundbreaking ceremony was recently held to mark the onset of
the construction of two hotels at Mannheim Road and Pratt Avenue on
Des Plaines’ south side. The hotels, the Marriott Fairfield Inn &
Suites and the Town Place Suites, will comprise approximately 353
rooms. City Officials, along with representatives of the developer
groups and franchises, gathered to break ground last week.
