2008 Press Release: Coaster Official Ribbon Cutting

For immediate release
January 24, 2008

Gildardo Solis, Reach Truck Operator, Sandy Velez, Order Checker, Rosemary Argus, Des Plaines 8th Ward Alderman, Scott Barauskas, Inventory Control, Des Plaines Mayor Tony Arredia, Tom Clark, Coaster Branch Manager, Marty Moylan, Des Plaines 2nd Ward Alderman, Kevin Talbott, Dealer Relations Manager and Janet Diaz, Special Accounts Representative, pose for a photograph at the ribbon cutting marking the opening of the new Coaster facility in Des Plaines.

A ribbon cutting was held marking the official grand opening of Coaster Company of America, 255 Wille Road, Des Plaines. Coaster Company, having begun operations in California in 1979, now occupies the AMB Wille Distribution Center. The Missner Group served as AMB's general contractor in the development of the Center. Coaster is a premier importer and distributor of "ready to assemble" furniture and decorative accessories. "With their customer-centric approach, AMB developed a state-of-the-art facility on a terrific site. This will enable us to optimize our distribution operations. The location provides immediate access to I-90, one of the main interstate highways that runs through the metro Chicago area and is ideally located for both our Midwest and national distribution requirements," said Thomas Clark, Branch Manager at Coaster Company newly located in Des Plaines. Coaster moved from Bensenville to Des Plaines. The new facility employs approximately 60 workers.
