2007 Press Release: Fire Department Honors Twenty-Year Anniversaries
and Promotions

 The
Des Plaines Fire Department held a coffee and cake reception last
week for seven firefighters who recently celebrated a twenty-year
anniversary with the Department. (pictured left to right) Fire
Lieutenant Brad Butler; Engineer Duane Owen; Division Chief Pete
Dyer; Captain Scott Pierson; Lieutenant Jim Hall and
Firefighter/Paramedic Tom Lewis (not pictured- Firefighter Guy
Miller) pose for a photograph with plaques of appreciation that were
presented at Fire Station #1.
 Promotions
and appointments were the order of the day at Fire Station #1 last
week. (pictured above left to right) Division Chief Peter Dyer,
promoted from Lieutenant; Fire Chief John Heavey; Engineer Andy
Swierczynski, appointed from Firefighter Paramedic; and Lieutenant
Ken Palenik promoted from Engineer.
