Rifle Club

Open to both males and females.  A normal evening at this club would include instruction in the safe handling of firearms and training in basic rifle marksmanship with .22 caliber target rifles on National Rifle Association approved and registered shooting courses. There will be weekly shooting competitions that conclude with an award of Top Gun at the end of the year.  This is all under the supervision of qualified firearms instructors from the Des Plaines Police Department and civilian helpers.

Attendance at this club is limited to ensure proper safety of the participants.

All required equipment is provided.  There is a small additional fee for this club.

Rifle Club meets on Wednesday evenings at the Des Plaines Police Department pistol range which is located in the Public Works building at Algonquin and Campground Rd. (east of River Rd.)

Supervisor is Retired Officer William "Bud" Mukahirn.
