The public is invited and encouraged to attend the Des Plaines
Friday Night Live On Metro Square Series held 6:30 - 9:00 pm,
Fridays, June 26, July 17 and July 31, 2009, in Metro Square, that
area behind the Des Plaines Theater between Lee Street and Pearson
Street. Sponsored by the City’s Special Events Commission and
coordinated by Commissioner Sister Clare Marie, the concert series
promises to offer a variety of sound and talent.
What a better way to spend a Friday evening if not with family
and friends to enjoy some of the finest talent and creativity in
dance and song….and much more….that the City of Des Plaines has to
offer!

Lorena Free are the co-owners of Lynette’s School of Dance, the
troupe which performed at the first Friday Night Live on
Metropolitan Square. Along with Lynette’s School of Dance, surprise
entertainment was provided by the Des Plaines Community Senior
Center. The evening concluded with a performance by a rock group
Rolling Thunder.
