Friends, neighbors and cancer survivors are coming together for
an energizing celebration on February 21st, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at
the Maine West High School Cafeteria in Des Plaines to kick off the
American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Des Plaines/Park Ridge.
Anyone who wishes to form a team, volunteer to help with panning the
event, or wants to hear more about this year's highlights is
encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Relay for Life is an overnight event that celebrates cancer
survivors while honoring those in the community who lost their
battle with cancer. Teams raise funds to fight cancer. Relay For
Life of Des Plaines/Park Ridge will be held from 6:00 pm May 16th to
6:00 am May 17th at Maine West High School in Des Plaines.
