With the signing of the Greenest Region Compact from the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus Mayor Tony Arredia helped show a community desire to "Go Green." With this initiative in place city staff, along with community members, have been working to find avenues that the City of Des Plaines can take towards becoming a more environmentally friendly.
