[ACTIVE] Des Plaines Officials, Vets and Sam's Club Coordinate Holiday Baskets

City of Des Plaines Officials, members of the American Legion Post #36 and Sam’s Club worked cooperatively on a holiday basket program during Thanksgiving Week. Thanks to the generosity of Sam’s Club, several local families were the recipient of a holiday basket which included a turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, a cake, canned goods and more. Volunteers gathered Saturday morning, November 17, 2012, at Des Plaines Sam’s Club, 101 W. Oakton Street, to pick up the baskets for disbursement to Des Plaines’ needy.
