Des Plaines River Road Reconstruction, Phase 2

The Des Plaines River Road Reconstruction is starting on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.  As a result, River Road, from Touhy Avenue to Henry Avenue will be reduced to one line of traffic in each direction.  The project will take approximately 18 months to complete.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction area and use alternate routes, if necessary. Working hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

2014 Contract A - Construction Update 12/10/14

The 2014 Contract A project has been suspended for the winter.  The contractor will return in the spring to complete the landscaping restoration on Whitcomb and any other miscellaneous repairs and project clean up.

2014 Contract A – Construction Update 12/1/14

All work is weather permitting.  Unknown utility conflicts may also cause delays.

Seegers Road

The contractor will work on miscellaneous project clean up and punchlist repairs.

Henry Avenue

The contractor will work on miscellaneous project clean up and punchlist repairs.

Whitcomb Avenue

The contractor is tentatively scheduled to pave the surface course of asphalt beginning on Tuesday, December 2, weather permitting.  The contractor anticipates this work will take 1-2 days.

The contractor will also continue project clean up.
